A Historic Landmark in Bushey Heath

Established 1749

The Three Crowns has stood as a pillar of the Bushey Heath community for over two centuries. We are the oldest inn of Bushey in continuous service as a public house. After a series of family owners, we were passed to the brewing family of Clutterbuck. The Clutterbuck Family sold their brewing interests to Cannon of Clerkenwell in 1923. Originally serving as a coaching inn for those travelling to and from London, our pub has witnessed the evolution of our village while maintaining its authentic charm.

Meet Your Landlords

The pub has always been much more than a business to us, it's where our story began.

Kris first joined the team at just 16 years old, starting as a pot wash. Through years of hard work, dedication and a genuine passion for hospitality, he worked his way up through the kitchen to become Head Chef. In 2023, he proudly took on the role of Landlord while continuing to lead the kitchen as Head Chef.

Bobbi joined the pub in 2021, but her connection to the pub started even earlier. Kris and Bobbi first met here in 2018, and the pub quickly became a place filled with special memories. In 2020, Kris proposed in the pub garden, making it an even more meaningful part of their lives.

When the previous landlord retired in 2023, taking on the pub felt like the natural next chapter. It was an opportunity to continue the traditions that have made this place so special while creating new memories for everyone who walks through the door.

Today, we're proud to call this pub our home. Whether you're joining us for a meal, a drink with friends, or a special celebration, we look forward to welcoming you and sharing the place that means so much to us!
